Mission Possible Canada (MPC),is a Canadian charity working in partnership with Mission Possible USA in supporting 9 schools in Haiti, and 1 in D.R.
Our work is to equip leaders (teachers, pastors, community leaders) in Haiti and D.R. as they do the front-line work of equipping the children and youth in their schools. We are raising up SPONSORS in Canada who provide prayer support, encouragement, leadership training and financial support.

Our SPONSORS include Christians and Churches across Canada, many of whom have faithfully supported this work for decades. Through the faithful work of Christian leaders in each country, with the generous and faithful support of Mission Possible SPONSORS, we are continuing to see God’s grace at work in individuals, schools and communities as they grow to be Christ-like leaders in a place that desperately needs it.
This video provides a helpful summary of the mission and work of Mission Possible.
A Brief Outline of MPs History
Mission Possible was formed in 1979 by Jack and Bettie Snyder. God motivated a number of Americans and Canadians to work with them in sharing God’s love with the people of Haiti. In 1989 the work was expanded to Barahona, Dominican Republic under the leadership of David Stitt. From 1979 to 1983 the head office was in Findlay, Ohio. From 1983 to 2006 it was relocated to Fort Pierce, where they also operated a 73-foot ocean vessel named Sonship for their work in Haiti until 1989. In 2006 the decision was made to relocate the office back to Findlay, Ohio.
In 1991, after Jack Snider's death, MPC closed its doors. In 1995 MPC was re-established as a separate charity, a partner with MPUS through a joint ministry agreement. Together they are Mission Possible International (MPI). The head office in Findlay Ohio serves as the unifying center for MPC as well. Since 1995 the work of MPC was led by Heath (Bud) and Donna Gillam, volunteer directors of the Canadian work along with a Board. Bud served on the Board of MPI, and also represented MPC to the MPUS Staff and Board. With the planned retirement of Bud and Donna, MPC hired Norm Sennema to serve as Executive Director of MPC in June 2025.
For many years the work of MP in Haiti has been under the direction of Pastor Herve. The work of MP in Barahona DR is under the direction of Pastor Moise. Both are Haitian nationals not living in Haiti. Through their long and faithful leadership the ministries and schools in Haiti and DR have expanded. Many of the graduates of our schools have become Christian leaders in Haiti and DR; our mission is being fulfilled!
In the last few decades, and especially since COVID and political instability in Haiti, MPUS and MPC have been adapting. The mission trips that were a large part of our missional support are not possible in Haiti. The political instability and gang violence in Haiti prevent us from sending teams to support the leaders there. MPUS has been expanding their focus to include church planting and building in Moca, DR, as well as expanding mission trips to other countries like Honduras, Zambia, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica.
MPC is currently renewing its own vision for their work. We have a large base of sponsors who are deeply committed to supporting the children and the schools. The MPC Board recently renewed its commitment to the children and youth of Haiti, both in Haiti and beyond. We are working to strengthen the sponsorship support, and to find new ways of supporting the work in Haiti under the current limitations and challenges.
One thing has remained the same from the beginning: missional discipleship remains a core ministry of MP through the schools. Our consistent determination is to equip the next generation of Christ-centered leaders!
